I’ve been working on a few Loki Designs for a shirt, and I’ve been waffling over what I want it to say. I love the ‘Made to be Ruled’ quote and the button, but I worry some people wouldn’t like having that quote on a shirt. I also like the ‘Loki’s Army’ phrase, but I’m also interested in having it say ‘God of Mischief’ ~ because I want to make my little sister a Thor shirt and I could have them match and say God of Thunder. They’d be different designs than the button ones too, but maybe an evolution of them with intricate norse/celtic patterns like my Dr. Who shirt. Throw in your two cents, either tell me which phrase you like best or suggest something new, I’d love to hear them. Thoughts?

I would by any of those as a button!

I don’t usually wear graphic t-shirts. But a ‘Made To Be Ruled’ button would look sweet on my leather jacket!

They’re already available as buttons here! We’ve gotten a few requests for the designs on other things like t-shirt, so I’ve been pestering UE to design a Loki shirt.

I had such good intentions

I was going to clean the house, but then I picked up a gigantic box of paper and now my back hurts so I’m playing the sims.

Shades of Grey + Ellen = Hilarity!

I feel like I should read Shades of Grey, if only for the hilarity.

This sort of reminds me of that time in high school when I passed around a copy of The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty and perverted at least a dozen other girls.

I was a normal fan. Then I found Tumblr.

I’ve never been a normal fan of things and I’ve always known where to go to flail obsessively about things I love.

Before tumblr it was LiveJournal. Before LiveJournal it was message boards. Before that it was random websites and chat rooms. And way before the internet, I obsessed about things all by myself. It was very lonely.

Anticipation is high for the Dec. 14 release of the big-screen version of one of the most popular stage musicals ever. Though cinematic interpretations of Broadway shows have become more commonplace since Chicago took the 2002 best-picture Oscar, Les Mis represents a new phase in the evolution of the movie musical.

The tale of love, redemption and social unrest that unfolds in 19th-century France — whose dialogue, along with such showstopping numbers as On My Own, is completely sung — will feature live performances instead of following the tradition of actors lip-syncing to a pre-recorded track.

Tom Hooper, Oscar-winning director of The King’s Speech, wouldn’t have it any other way.

“If you are miming to a playback, even if the synchronization is done very well, there is a part of you that knows something is off, something is false,” he says. “When it’s live, you believe it so much more. The actors have complete freedom rather than following a recording done three months before.”

Hooper says the results deliver those “spine-tingling moments” he appreciated when he saw the stage show. Fans will get to hear a sampling when a Les Mis teaser premieres on MSN.com Wednesday before it hits theaters Friday.
